The mode in which our massage therapists massage you!
Swedish Massage is a general relaxation massage designed to help decrease stress while improving range of motion and circulation, which may speed healing and reduce swelling from injury.
NMT is a system of massage used to restore balance between the nervous system and the musculoskeletal system by isolating specific muscles and attachments. NMT relieves pain and dysfunction while enhancing the movement of joints and muscles.
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle hands-on technique that uses a light touch to examine membranes and movement of the fluids in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity.
Geriatric massage is a massage technique that uses light, gentle pressure and passive stretching to help improve circulation, posture, and overall well-being for people who are less active. Because mature skin is more likely to bruise and tear, geriatric massage therapists use gentler strokes and mild stretching instead of standard massage pressure
Heated, smooth stones are placed on certain points on the body to warm and loosen tight muscles and balance energy centers in the body. This is good for people who have tension but prefer lighter massage.
The therapist uses his or her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches and also applies deep muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure.
Also called Pregnancy Massage. The therapists know the proper way to position and support the woman’s body during the massage, and how to modify techniques. Helps to reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains and reduce anxiety and depression.
Very specific work done on hands and/or feet. Works with acupressure points to affect the body’s organs, and is a comfortable introduction to massage for those new to hands-on body therapy.
Designed to support athletic performance and prevent injuries, sports massage employs a variety of modalities such as deep-tissue massage for soft tissue mobilization to stretching techniques to boost function in muscles and joints.
Intra-Oral massage. A massage inside the mouth and related muscles around the jaws and neck.
Cupping therapy is a simple and effective technique that can be used on its own or in combination with massage therapy. Various sizes of cups are placed on the body to help move stagnant energy or eliminate toxic buildup in the muscles. The vacuum created by the cups draws blood to the surface of the skin, making it easier for the body to remove toxins. This technique can be particularly helpful for stubborn muscles that do not relax with massage alone.
Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the drainage of lymph nodes and the movement of lymph fluids around the body. It can help relieve symptoms of lymphedema. The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from body tissues.
Deep tissue isn’t all about pressure; proper pressure work involves knowledge of the body, all the muscles, and their attachments and applying proper techniques. Therapists locate trigger points and knots and then work to release those tightened areas. By employing slow and deliberate strokes, this massage method skillfully addresses challenging areas of tension. It aims to not only release chronic muscle tightness but also to enhance relaxation and support the realignment of your muscles, fascia, and tendons, promoting overall well-being and improved movement.
“My husband and I have been getting superbly expert massages here for over a year. FABULOUS! Professional, thorough, knowledgeable therapists. We truly believe that this has saved him from having to undergo a planned cervical neck fusion last year. We recommend the Institute highly!”
“Student I had was wonderful. She Explained everything very well. We talked about the trouble areas I had and she was great at focusing on that stuff during the massage. She was attentive and asking if the pressure felt good which it was for me. Had a great experience. I would highly recommend affordable massage.”
“Students learn well before allowed to work on public. Members get super massages at reduced rates. Very professional massage in a comfortable setting.”
What an excellent experience! You can choose a massage from a student or a professional. The prices are very reasonable. I go to Jody, a professional, and it is truly worthy of 5 stars. I have had hundreds of massages, in several different states, but none better than a “Jody massage”. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.
